Casa da Gazalha Verde 2017 Verde
Concept
Wine produced from the farm’s vines, planted with 100% Trajadura castes. Although it’s not evident thought the name of the caste that the label displays, this is a single varietal wine.
Trajadura is a caste that, at the Sousa sub-region, in Penafiel, matures beautifully and always before the September’s falls arrive. In this exceptional year of 2017, the grapes were hasvested at the end of August, an unique situation!
It is a wine with excellent acidity and a lower alcohol content, originating a typical verde wine, fresh and with low alcoholic content.
Vinification
The grapes provide, after lightly pressed, a mash that ferments for 20 to 25 days, is stainless-steel vats at a very low temperature (15ºC), being that the long fermentation process at this set temperature, granted a very fresh flavour and a very intense tropical fruits aroma to the wine this year, that comes out even more intense with the soft gasification procedure that occurs in the bottling process.
