Chão Rijo Red 2015 Red
29Varieties and Soil
Traditional grape varieties, planted in "Chão Rijo", local expression to identify the clay-limestone soils of the region, about 10 km from the Atlantic Coast and an average of 130 m of altitude.
Climate
Strong Atlantic influence, with summers of moderate temperatures, strong and salty winds. The presence of the Serra de Sintra, in the South, leads to the formation of fog and the maintenance of high relative humidity.
Winemaking
Harvest in early October. This wine comes from a careful vinification by the classic "tanning" process, with 50% destemming, fermentation in stainless steel tanks with temperature control (26 ° -28 ° C) and careful reassembly. The process of interning took place over a year and a half, passing the wine through small oak barrels. Bottled in September 2017.
