Estate Collection 2016 White
This wine is the fruit of a unique batch of the traditional castes of the region of Lisbon - Fernão Pires and Arinto, with Antão Vaz, and a touch of French Roussanne, Chardonnay and Semillon. It represents well the universe of vine varieties that constitute the vast vineyard of Quinta do Pinto and our constant search to create unique lots, harmonizing varieties of different origins. National breeds emerge in the foreground, imposing their personality and particularity, while the international caste soon appear, with all its complexity and delicacy, to highlight the aroma and the evidence.
Geology
Clay-limestone soil, originally from the Jurassic period, with clayey and loamy texture. Soft slopes with southern exposure.
Viticulture Method
Integrated Production.
Vinification
Careful vegetation management to optimize the aromatic potential of the grapes. Manual harvest and subsequent selection of the best quality bunches. Destemming and crushing, the must clarified by natural decanting in cold vats. Fermentation, caste to caste, by wild yeasts in mansory vats at controlled temperature of 15º-16ºC.
