Origin of grapes
Ferradosa Unoaked Douro Red shows the unique and differentiated character of the farm, where we found the vineyards that we feel express the Douro we know. The grapes come from a vineyard planted in 1998 where only Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz were planted.
Vinification and aging
All the wine was fermented in the Quinta da Ferradosa wine cellar. All grapes were trodden on foot in traditional wineries prior to fermentation in stainless steel tanks (5,000 kg). The wine stagnated in stainless steel vats for 12 months before bottling.
