Impar 2011 Red
Sourced from the Boa Vista vineyard near Alter do Chão. The wines from this vineyard were famous in the 19th century but with the coming of the Phylloxera it became defunct. With its replanting 20 years ago, we have seen a resurgence of its quality potential.
Ancient gravel mixed with limestone soil, at 400M altitude.
Made from selected handpicked fruit of the four varieties, then vinified separately. After a prolonged maceration, the four varieties were aged in 16 new oak barrels for 30 months then blended. The resulting in a wine of great depth and character for ageing.
