Mariposa 2015 White
Concept
The Mariposa wines are made naturally, preserving the most of the natural flavors of the grape varieties and acidity naturaldas grapes of this region. They are intended to be light and fresh, to consume young but being Dão, will have a good evolution in the bottle.
They are modern wines but which clearly demonstrate the character of the region.
Winemaking
The grapes were harvested by hand in small boxes of 20kg. The batch composition varies with the production of each variety in the vineyard. The grapes were chilled to the winery entrance and immediately pressed. The resulting wine decanted in stainless steel tanks at low temperature and then fermented in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. This wine aged in stainless, to preserve all the aromas and natural flavors of the grapes that give rise to it.
