Piorro 2012 Red
The square being a symbol of equilibrium, it was the geometric form chosen to characterize this wine.
Objective
The oenology team of the 1912 Winemakers was asked to introduce us to a fruity wine with good balance in the mouth, body and acidity, so to be able to have a wine for the day to day, to accompany a meal, or just for an early night. An easy, pleasant wine.
Grape varieties
The traditional vineyard of the Douro region, later a careful selection of the Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca.
Enology
After manual harvesting of the bunches in individual boxes of 25 kg, the grapes were de-stemmed and gently crushed, following the must to stainless steel vats where it was fermented at controlled temperature (26-28° C).
