Sloping slate soils with medium production potential.
Climate
Mediterranean, with some continental influence. Cold winters, with most rainfall between October and February (average annual precipitation around 700 mm) and very hot summers.
Vinification
Our Quetzal Familia White 2012 is pressed from pure Antão Vaz grapes from the estate’s oldest vines. The grapes are harvested by hand and then processed by gravity in our modern winery before being fermented in new 500 liters french oak barrels and matured for over 6 months in barrel with weekly batônnage.
