History
Quinta da Amoreira da Torre’s vineyard belongs to Montemor-o-Novo’s council, in Évora. It’s a new vineyard, built from scratch in 2001, although there are records of wine production at Quinta da Amoreira from 100 years ago, interrupted in the beginning of the 30’s of the XX century.
The totality of the vineyard is, nowadays, converted to Biological Agriculture, being the harvest of 2005, the first certified in Biological Production Method, by the SATIVA (PT-BIO- 03) — Sistema de Controlo CE.

Mediterranean, sub-moist, dry.
Soil
Mediterranean earth-coloured, granitic derivates.

Vinification
Fermented in stainless steel cylindrical-conical tanks, with immediate racking into French oak 300 liter barrels, after alcoholic fermentation. Malolactic fermentation in barrels.
Ageing
Stage of 12 months in barrels and 12 months of staging in bottle.

Total Acidity: 5.9 (g/L)
Sugar: 1.5 (g/L)
pH: 3.63
This wine does not utilize any animal products in its crafting and it is certified as vegan by the Vegan Society.
