Viticulture
Organic production with a single plot managemement winegrowing work.
Soil
Lime and clay from the superior jurassic period. Twenty hectares with different expositions and slopes.
Climate
Mediterranean microclimate with an Atlantic influence. Cold nights even during summer, max. temperatures of 31ºC, 675 mm average rainfall and a permanent blowing wind.
Vinification
Plot winegrowing work (various distinct Syrah plots) from the harvest to the end of the ageing process. Handmade harvest, with manual sorting. Desteming with no crushing. Fermentation in stainless steel temperature controlled vats. Stage for about 12 to 14 months in 2nd year french oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
This is a smooth, richly fruity wine. Spice from wood aging and soft tannins give balance and concentration. Produced from organically grown grapes, the wine is ready to drink. R.V. Wine Enthusiast
