Sete Linhas 2012 Red
Sourced from the Boa Vista vineyard near Alter do Chão. The wines from this vineyard were famous in the 19th century but with the coming of the Phylloxera it became defunct. With its replanting more than 20 years ago, we have seen the resurgence of its quality potential.
Handpicked selected fruit, harvested late, from the top 7 vine rows of the Alicante Bouschet block. These rows have a much lower production resulting in wines of great concentration. After a prolonged maceration, the wine was aged in new oak barrels for 30 months before bottling, resulting in an Alicante Bouschet style that the Alto Alentejo is becoming famous for.
Only 1.000 bottles produced.
