Located in Nelas, Viseu, Quinta da Teixuga is a 30 hectare property. Located in the heart of Dão, the region is sheltered by the mountains of Caramulo, Montemuro, Buçaco and Estrela, thereby creating excelent geographical conditions for wine making, producing full-bodied wines with great aging capacity.
Vinification
Manual harvest in 15 kg boxes.
Destemmed grapes, fermentation temperature controlled with careful maceration to better expression and typicality of the variety. 50% of the batch aged in new barrels for 12 months.
Bottling in September 2015.
