Vicentino Reserva 2014 Red
The Vine and the Sea
Vicentino's castes are blessfuly located over the Alentejo coast, thriving on the Portuguese sun and the Atlantic breeze.
Soil and Castes
Planted in schist-clay and loamy-sandy soils, with low productive potential, Vicentino's castes bear its best traits.
Vinification and Stage
Fermentation for 10 days at 26ºC, followed by a period of long maceration, keeping the contact with the must. Staging in French oak barrels (used and new) for 11 months.
Tasting Notes
The typical aromatic elegance of the Touriga Nacional caste is given by some spices that are a result of its staging in in French oak barrels with light toasts. Its filling on the mouth, perplexing and with silky tannins that are balanced by a good acidity, in a very persistent arrangement.
