CAV Reserva 2014 White
HISTORY
The Casa Américo was established by the hands of Américo Seabra, father, who had the dream of producing wine in the land where he was born, Vila Nova de Tazém. The project was followed up by the hands of its children who recovered the property of the century. And built a new wine cellar. Casa Américo now has 100 hectares of vineyards, with the oldest being over 100 years old. Planted with the noble grape varieties of the Dão region, on poor granite terrain and are planted between 500 and 600m altitude. The sub-region where they are, Serra da Estrela, is one of the terroirs most important of the Dão and here are produced noble wines with a freshness and unique elegance.
VINEYARD
These grapes are a lot of the best white grapes of various plots, located in the areas of Vila Nova de Tázem, Pinhanços and Gouveia, aged between 15 and 40 years.
VINIFICATION
The grape varieties were manually separated in the vineyard, and the grapes were first harvested. The pressing was done with total destemming, allowing skin maceration for 10h. The fermentation was at a controlled temperature of 17ºC. He had a minimum of 6 months in bottle before of output to the market.
